About the company

PrJSC “EthnoProduct” is a Ukrainian agricultural company with a fully integrated cycle of organic agricultural production*.

The company’s fields and farms are located in the northeast of the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, where around 1,000 hectares of organic land (pastures, hayfields, and arable land) are cultivated and about 500 head of cattle are raised. This provides the foundation for producing high-quality final organic products.
At the company’s dairy processing facility near Kyiv, finished organic products are manufactured under the EthnoProduct trademark and distributed to retail networks throughout Ukraine.

The organic products produced by the company include: raw milk, pasteurized milk, sour cream, kefir, yogurt, butter, honey, meat, sausages, vegetables, as well as grains and legumes.

The activities of PJSC “EthnoProduct” — from field to finished product — are controlled and certified by “Organic Standard”, the leading Ukrainian certification body in the field of organic production.

Certification of land and production began in 2008. Since that time, the company’s agricultural land has been managed following organic principles: instead of synthetic fertilizers, humus, green manure crops, and beneficial microorganisms are used; herbicides and pesticides are not used; instead of genetically modified seeds, non-GMO crops adapted to the local region are grown.

The first certified organic dairy products to appear on store shelves in Ukraine were those produced under the EthnoProduct brand. This happened in November 2010 and became a milestone for Ukraine, because consumers gained access to products made by a producer that works in harmony with nature, applies organic farming practices in livestock production, and uses only natural ingredients during processing—preserving the natural and beneficial properties of food.

Today, EthnoProduct products are sold in more than 150 retail locations in Kyiv and across Ukraine, as well as in select stores in other cities.

The greatest pride of the company is the feedback from the consumers. Older generations choose organic products because their taste and quality remind them of food “from childhood.” Younger consumers appreciate the short shelf life, which indicates the absence of synthetic additives and ultra-pasteurization.
For example, the shelf life of organic non-pasteurized milk is just 72 hours.

PJSC “EthnoProduct” is also one of the founding members of the Union of Ukrainian Organic Producers “Organic Ukraine.”
